An opportunity has arisen for a Kaiawhina to work within our busy Oral Health Services.

This role will enhance the relationship between whanau and the community dental service to ensure that all Tamariki have access to appropriate services.

The role includes home visits, education sessions, organising clinics and liaising with whanau, schools/Kura /Kohunga/kindergartens /pre-schools and colleagues in oral health service. This is an exciting role that will make a real difference for whanau and Tamariki within the Wairarapa.

We are looking for someone who has a warm and open nature. Excellent communication skills and good time management. The successful applicant must be able to speak in public and run educational sessions. Speaking Te Reo or a Pacifika language would be seen as an advantage. Ideally this person will have strong community links and the ability to work effectively in a variety of environments.

This is permanent full time position, working 80 hours per fortnight across, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm.
