Speech Language Therapist (Allied Health)

Masterton

Reference: 4937438

We are looking for an enthusiastic, NZSTA registered Speech Language Therapist with previous health experience for this part time position based at Wairarapa Hospital. This role is ideally suited to a therapist with post graduate experience across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

If you have a passion for working with clients to maximise communication and assess / manage swallow impairments across a range of clinical areas (acute medical, rehabilitation and paediatrics) in a secondary hospital setting this could be the role for you. Our speech language therapy team is a small, dynamic team that is well supported by the allied health and multidisciplinary teams and has close links with regional and national SLT networks. The Speech-language Therapist is an integral part of multidisciplinary team function and in this role you will be working closely with the clinical team to assess and manage acute presentations and longstanding impairments, contribute to discharge planning and provide ongoing intervention to support people to remain as functional as possible in their homes and communities.

We are looking for a Speech Language Therapist who is flexible and adaptable, thrives in a team environment, and is focused on delivering the best possible clinical care for clients.

This is a permanent part time position, working 24 hours per week. Actual days and hours of work can be negotiated, as can a locum or fixed term arrangement - if you have the required experience we are keen to discuss this role further with you.

For more information please contact Nicky Rivers, Director Allied Health, Scientific and Technical on 027 549 0397.
