Charge Nurse Manager - Rehabilitation
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to take on the challenge of a senior nursing leadership role at the Wairarapa DHB. You will join a professional and dedicated team, and be supported with an orientation programme into this role, as well as support for ongoing professional development.
The Rehabilitation Ward is a 15 bed unit which includes a self-contained flat as a step down unit for people to gain independence before going home.
In this role you will ensure the leadership, resource management and organisation of quality patient care provision within the Rehabilitation ward at the Wairarapa DHB.
As the Charge Nurse Manager (CNM) you will be responsible for effectively managing people, systems, processes and resources to enable the provision of a high standard of patient care and the efficient and effective running of the service. This position includes financial accountability and support for the Nursing Director and Director of Operations with business planning and financial reporting of the Acute Service.
You will provide clinical leadership for the multi disciplinary team and professional leadership of the nursing team including monitoring quality, practice and service standards, taking a lead role in developing nursing services and will play a key role in the development and achievement of the strategic direction for the department.
To ensure you are successful in this role you will need to be an experienced Registered Nurse and hold a current annual practicing certificate. You will have strong motivational leadership skills, applied knowledge and management expertise.
This is a permanent full time role for 80 hours per fortnight, working Monday to Friday with actual hours by mutual agreement.
