Dietitian - Allied Health Services

Masterton, New Zealand

Reference: 5284544

Allied Health Dietitians provide dietetic services for children and adults in a range of settings, including within Wairarapa Hospital and in outpatient/community settings. We are looking for a part time Dietitian to join our small, friendly team.

In this role you will provide safe and clinically effective patient/client assessment and intervention. You will be competent at prioritising a diverse caseload and working closely alongside allied health, nursing and medical colleagues to deliver efficient and timely clinical intervention. You will have well developed education skills, and be able to effectively share nutrition knowledge with other health professions and groups.

This is a permanent part time position working 48 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE) Monday to Friday, actual hours / days by mutual agreement. There may be an occasional requirement to work additional hours to provide cover across the dietetic team. This role will also participate in a roster to provide on call cover on Public Holidays during normal business hours.

To be successful in this role you will need a minimum of 3 years clinical practice, including experience in paediatrics and nutrition support. Excellent communication skills are essential, together with the ability to work effectively and autonomously as a Dietitian and to actively contribute to multidisciplinary client care.
