COVID-19 is considered the single greatest public health risk in the history of our DHB. With the vaccination rollout underway, Wairarapa DHB needs vaccinators and a supporting team to undertake the delivery and administration of the broadest immunisation programme in our history.
We welcome applications from registered nurses or vaccinators who are motivated, conscientious and committed to supporting us to maintain a high vaccination coverage (85% +) in the Wairarapa region. You will be part of a team delivering vaccinations to our staff and community with an initial focus on vulnerable and at risk individuals.
You must have a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) to apply for this role. Having a current CPR / Anaphylaxis certificate and being a qualified vaccinator is preferable, though not essential, as full training will be provided.
The location and the hours/days you will be working could change from time to time so you will need to be flexible. You will need to be available to work evenings and weekends as the project progresses.
These are fixed term part-time rostered and rotating positions. The fixed term is until December 2021 when it is anticipated the Immunisation Programme will be completed.
