We are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses currently employed in Acute Services.

Due to some internal movement we have some permanent hours available. This is a supportive role to the Charge Nurse Manager with responsibility for the day-to-day clinical coordination of the team, including coordination and allocation of staff, coordinating staff breaks, and ensuring efficient and effective patient flow to ensure the provision of high quality health care for the patients in the Acute Service.

This position enables an effective practice environment through providing clinical and professional nursing leadership, coaching and monitoring standards of practice. The role requires the use of expert knowledge and skill in the management of patients, providing direct patient care as required. The ACNM also has ongoing delegated responsibility for aspects of the CNM role, for example SQUARE reporting, staff appraisals and assisting with PDRP requirements.

You will be an experienced ED/HDU/ICU Registered Nurse, holding a current annual practicing certificate, have a relevant post grad qualification and will meet other minimum requirements set out in the person specification including holding or working towards a proficient level portfolio. You also need to have at least 3 years RN experience in an Acute setting. Great communication skills are essential and previous and/or current leadership experience would be an advantage.

We have permanent part time hours of 24 hours per fortnight, working Monday to Sunday am shifts.
